About Yasmeen

Yasmeen’s journey into the world of mental health began when she attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Originally on the pre-med track, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish. During these years she took several psychology courses and developed a love for the subject matter and the intricacies of the human mind. To further develop her exposure to the field, she became a research assistant with the Department of Psychiatry at UIC exploring Mood and Anxiety Disorders. After graduating, Yasmeen pursued her studies in psychology with Benedictine University’s Masters of Clinical Psychology program. She also has experience working in the healthcare field, which has fueled her childhood passion to help others. Yasmeen believes strongly in radiating positivity in order to promote positive energy. In her free time, Yasmeen enjoys exercising, being outside with nature, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing along Chicago’s lakefront.
